Arlo
Built for the work.
Rugged wearable concepts imagined for long days in the field. For display only.
Sense. Alert. Respond.
Start with awareness.
Imagine information that belongs with you. Not another screen to check. A quieter way to stay in the picture.
Make the important clear.
One line of blue. One unmistakable shape. An exploration of signals that ask for just enough attention.
Leave room for instinct.
Across five forms, the same considered details. A shared design language that feels familiar before it feels complicated.
Different objects.
The same point of view.
Products
Five forms. One language.
From wrist to outer layer, a family of fictional devices imagined for field work and shaped by one idea: less noise, more clarity.

- Info
- THE WRIST PIECE IS WHERE THE WHOLE COLLECTION BEGINS. AN ANGULAR DISPLAY HOUSING SITS OVER A PERFORATED STRAP, AND A SINGLE BLUE SIDE CONTROL MARKS THE ONE PLACE YOUR THUMB IS MEANT TO LAND. THE FACE IS DELIBERATELY SPARSE: A FEW LINES OF INFORMATION SET IN MONO, WITH PLENTY OF DARK SPACE AROUND THEM. EXPOSED FASTENERS AND A BRUSHED METAL KEEPER CARRY THE SAME HARD-EDGED LANGUAGE DOWN THE STRAP, SO THE OBJECT READS AS ONE MACHINED PIECE RATHER THAN A SCREEN ON A BAND.

One imagined day.
A storyboard of a day in the field, told through where each object sits on the body and why it sits there.
06:00
Layer up.
Layer / 04Before the first task, decide where everything lives. A vest is a map of the body: chest, hip, shoulder, each with a job.
06:20
Eyes up.
Frame / 03The head is the most crowded place to put anything. This one asks what the smallest useful thing in your line of sight could be.
09:40
Heads down.
Wrist / 01Mid-task there is only time for a glance. The wrist is where the eyes already go when the hands are busy.
13:15
Hands full.
Ring / 02Gloves, tools, no spare fingers. How much can an object say when you can't spare a hand to touch it?
17:30
Clip on.
Clip / 05End of the day, one more thing to move from jacket to bag. Can an object travel as easily as a set of keys?
Three details you can spot from across the room.
Every Arlo concept is drawn from the same short list of decisions. Learn to read them once and the whole family makes sense.
- 01
Form
Angular housings with hard, deliberate edges. Nothing is rounded off to be polite.
- 02
Material
Matte graphite shells set against bare, brushed metal. Texture does the talking.
- 03
Signal
A single electric-blue accent per object. When it appears, it means something.
Look a little closer.

Ring / 02 Inside the loop.

Frame / 03 Low in the lens.

Wrist / 01 Underneath.

Layer / 04 Opened up.
A study in saying less.
Arlo is an upskilling project by Joshua “Snowi” Cambronero, built to practise design, motion and front-end development. The question behind it was simple: could five very different objects feel related at a glance?
Everything here, from the objects to the words around them, was drawn to answer that one question.
